Restoring the Lake Depths Foundation Welcomes Captain Kristofer Kierce as Operations Manager
Zephyr Cove, NV. May 6, 2024 – The Restoring the Lake Depths Foundation, a Certified NV Non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to preserving Lake Tahoe's pristine environment, today announced the appointment of Captain Kristofer Kierce as its new Operations Manager. Kierce brings over a decade of commercial diving experience and a lifelong passion for Lake Tahoe to the foundation.
Kierce is the founder of Lake Tahoe Diving & Environmental, a renowned local marine service company, and owner of Tahoe Dive Center. His background includes extensive commercial diving experience, with a Commercial Mixed Gas Diver Certification from the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI).

Submerged litter threatens the health of our lake and its entire ecosystem. With Kris's expertise, we're ready to tackle this challenge head-on."
In his new role, Kierce will oversee the foundation's efforts to retrieve submerged litter from Lake Tahoe using advanced underwater robots. He will manage the deployment of the BlueROV2, conduct underwater surveys, and ensure the safe and efficient removal of debris

Captain Kristofer Kierce is the esteemed founder of Lake Tahoe Diving & Environmental (LTDE), a renowned marine service company specializing in mooring, salvage, and vessel maintenance. With a deep-seated love for Lake Tahoe, Kristofer established LTDE to channel his expertise and passion back into the lake he calls home. Additionally, he owns Tahoe Dive Center, the premier local dive shop in Lake Tahoe.
Kristofer brings over a decade of experience and over 1,000 commercial dives worldwide to his role. His extensive background in commercial diving is underscored by his Commercial Mixed Gas Diver Certification from the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) and technical training in ship husbandry, ship surveys, and class inspections.
